The estates of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, situated along McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers, demonstrate the bond between these two men, formidable friends who spent 15 winters here. Today these homes are Lee County’s top attraction, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and providing a unique glimpse into America’s history and one of the 20th century’s great friendships.

Friends of the Edison Ford Foundation not only help preserve and protect a beloved piece of our city’s past by donating their time and money, they also expand their own circle of friends. As a Friend you’ll receive e-mail blasts and newsletter mailings highlighting special events and educational programs at the estates and you’ll also be invited to the foundation’s variety of events fundraisers, including our annual gala.
